Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Gay Games Scholarship Program. Your skills, enthusiasm and energy are a necessary piece to the effort of bringing to the Gay Games people who ordinarily could not attend.

When looking at the volunteer opportunities, if you do not see an opportunity that is right for you, please consider other Federation of Gay Games volunteer opportunities—or check back to this site or contact info@gaygames.org.

Opportunities

  • Key Contacts
  • Translators
  • Fundraisers (for examples, see Donor page)
  • Application processors (will need to live in the Cologne area)

Key Contact people
Finding applicants and assisting them through the application process requires volunteers from around the globe. A Key Contact will initially be a person who distributes information about the scholarship program to areas with which they are familiar. Then, if needed by an applicant, the Key Contact can assist that applicant in submitting an application. In some cases, this will include acting as a representative for applicants, bringing questions to the scholarship administrators.

A Key Contact person is a person who is dedicated to organizing locally, demonstrates initiative in outreach, has regular e-mail access, is fluent in English, and, for some regions, has an understanding of other languages and cultures.

Translators
Translations will be needed for
• outreach and publicity materials
• assisting applicants for whom English is not a primary language
• translation for scholarship recipients during the Gay Games.

Please send a list of languages in which you are fluent and information about you availability.
