HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE GAY GAMES MOVEMENT

The international Federation of Gay Games (FGG) is the body that ensures the continuation of the Gay Games movement and protects the integrity and spirit of the Gay Games.

The FGG has 3 types of membership and the Gay Games movement welcomes volunteers:

FULL MEMBER ORGANISATIONS
Includes larger organisations that are able to host and organise events and can contribute to the direction and management of the Gay Games. These include international sport organisations, multi-sport regional or city teams and international cultural organisations. These organisations drive the Gay Games movement and the FGG General Assembly.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER ORGANISATIONS
Smaller national or local associations and groups; teams that are part of a larger full member organisation - such as a sports group that is part of a city team. These organisations may organise local events and contribute to the Gay Games movement through their parent organisation and through the FGG committees.

PARTNER ORGANISATIONS
Groups who wish to be part of the Gay Games movement and to be kept informed of developments but don’t have the funds or structure to be a full or associate member organisation. For example, this could include newly formed sports groups and groups in developing nations.

VOLUNTEER
Individuals or groups that wish to assist the gay games movement either because of the skills they offer or because they wish to become member organisations in the future.

NEW MEMBER WELCOME EVENT
We will be welcoming new members to the Federation of Gay Games General Assembly as their applications are approved during the year and more formally at our Annual Meeting. We will be winding down the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Gay Games at this year's Annual meeting, and we hope to see you there.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

*The FGG uses the United Nations Human Development Report Index to define which fee applies. Organisations from countries in the U.N. Medium or Low Human Development Category pay the reduced fee.
