Support and Funding


As a nonprofit organization, the foundation of the Federation of Gay Games is provided by individuals, local teams, sports organizations, and corporate sponsors. These supporters offer the time and financial support the Federation depends on to continually expand its efforts. Participation in Federation activities in any form carries the message of the Gay Games movement a little further. Each contribution is important and within the Federation's worldwide scope there are many ways to help.

Individuals

Even a small personal contribution may benefit gay peoples in places where the value and self respect of the gay community is rarely publicly demonstrated.

If you need financial or other assistance to attend the Gay Games, here is the link to the application used for Gay Games VII in Chicago. A similar program will be in place for Cologne in 2010:

Groups

Teams and clubs can distribute Federation promotional materials at their events and encourage their members to experience the Gay Games for themselves by becoming participants. The Federation will also sponsor qualifying events that allocate a small percentage of ticket sales for tax deductible donation. 		  

Sponsors

Special arrangements can be made for sponsors wishing to pursue an ongoing relationship with the Federation. Please contact the Communications Committee for assistance.

Make Your Own Contribution by Volunteering

As a nonprofit tax-exempt organization, donations to the Federation of Gay Games can be included as an income tax deduction in the United States of America, subject to certain limitations.
