MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
The Membership Committee (MEM) is responsible for the following:
- new member recruitment activities and materials (Membership Brochure, New Member Application, solicitation letters, Member Handbook, How to Apply document)
- new member orientation programs and documents
- mentoring new members
- member database development and maintenance (collaboration with TECH)
- member communications through the Participate! newsletter and other vehicles
- member renewals and retention
The Membership Committee will also address the Federation of Gay Games’ outreach mission – to distribute information and provide scholarship assistance that will bring participants to each Gay Games; along with these efforts, the FGG will encourage continued development of the international gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender sports and cultural community.
The Membership Committee carries out membership campaigns described in the Membership Marketing Plan, that include the following:
- Members Find Members Campaign
- New Member Prospecting Campaign
- Renewal/Retention Campaign
- Volunteer Recruitment Campaign
- Outreach to encourage organisations to join the FGG
