FGG Annual Meeting Location

In January 2007, the historic, new SF State downtown campus opened at 835 Market Street (Market between Powell and 4th Street). The campus is on the 5th and 6th floors. To enter the University directly, look for the doorway marked 835 under the hanging SFSU banner. This is between the main entrance of the Westfield San Francisco Centre and the big Walgreens store just west of 4th Street. Take the elevator to the 6th floor and look for the signs directing you to the FGG office and meeting rooms.

This exciting new location is the historic site of the San Francisco Emporium, best known for its eye-popping glass ceiling atrium, which has been preserved and will now adorn the new building. This dynamic new environment in the heart of downtown, is directly on the Powell Street BART and Muni lines, and close to affordable parking.

This amazing building at 835 Market Street also houses San Francisco's most spectacular shopping mall, the Westfield San Francisco Centre (http://westfield.com/sanfrancisco/index.html). There are 420 popular retail shops, restaurants, a theater complex, and more under one historic roof. The major stores are: Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Abercrombie & Fitch, Banana Republic, Borders, Bristol Farms, H&M, and Eddie Bauer. In addition, there are 32 restaurants just an elevator ride away, Most of these are in the Food Court, where meeting attendees will have a wide selection of lunch choices.
