Saturday, October 27—Silent Auction During the Legacy Dinner
As you may know, the Federation of Gay Games is planning an amazing Legacy Dinner on Saturday, October 27, 2007 as part of the events celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the creation of the Gay Games. You can learn more about all these events at www.gaygames.org.

Here is one important way you can help!  We are planning a Silent Auction and need help securing donated items.  Attached is an Auction Request letter that you can use when asking local businesses for a donation as well as an Auction Response Form for businesses to use when responding.  Please feel free to personalize this letter when faxing it or dropping it off at your local businesses. 

GET CREATIVE! Think about items that you would bid on yourself. Below are some suggested items/packages that have proven successful in past auctions. Hopefully this list will get your creative juices following!

• Gym pass/boot camp/personal trainer lessons – Get that Body ready for Cologne in 2010!
• Organizational Service – Get your home or business on the right track, right now.
• Tickets to…..Anything! – The #1 selling items at Silent Auctions are tickets to a show, musical, or concert.
• A Day on the Bay – Sailing or boating with a wonderful picnic lunch included.
• Massage/Raiki/Spa Services – The perfect birthday present for the guy or gal who has everything! Maybe make it a full service day at the Spa!
• Dog Day Afternoon – Dog Walking certificates or even a day at a pet spa!
• Housecleaning service – Who can’t use this???
• Hotel or B&B overnight trips – Perfect for someone expecting company for the holidays or that special getaway with your sweetheart.
• Enchanted garden - Landscape artist or gardener services.
• Home designer consultant services – Make your place a Top Design!
• Shop ‘til you Drop - Gift certificates to local stores.  Many business owners use this as an effective way to promote their store.
• Yum Yum – Gift certificates to local restaurants are always great sellers, too.
• Artwork – Original pieces or maybe that painting your ex left at your house and that you are now ready to get rid of.
• Looking Good - Certificates for Haircuts, Nails, Tanning, Make-Up… it’s all good!
• Now we're Cooking! – Know a private chef that cooks the meal at your home? Again, a great way to promote a small business.
• Dancing with the Stars! – Donated tango lessons… Cha, Cha, Cha!
